While most groups spend much of their time at the restaurants and meeting spaces of Charleston Place, meetings and events can also be catered at historic plantations, waterfront mansions, or even aboard a WWII aircraft carrier.
Palmetto Cafe
Located on the main floor of Charleston Place Hotel, this casual (yet elegant) four-star restaurant offers a garden setting framed by palm trees, beachy decor and an adjoining courtyard. Because the Palmetto Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch only, it’s a great option for large private dinners. Serving breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday, brunch Saturday-Sunday. Available for groups of up to 200 and perfect for al fresco cocktails and appetizers.
Charleston Grill
The hotel’s standout is the Forbes Four-Star Charleston Grill, a “grand ballroom of a restaurant” according to The New York Times. Nightly jazz. Exciting dishes. Attentive service. A Wine Spectator “best of” wine program. It doesn't get any better than this. Charleston Grill is open daily from 5:30 – 10pm. Perfect for small events.
Thoroughbred Club
Tucked next to Charleston Place Hotel’s grand Italian marble lobby is the Thoroughbred Club, a relaxing lounge serving afternoon tea, cocktails, tapas and desserts. Unwind with a classic bourbon or sherry. Sample a fine selection of imported and local teas. Enjoy the melodies of live piano and classical guitar. Open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight. Ideal for unwinding after a long day.
